I didn't score these perfect 5's (well at least the Jai Alai I did) but they are just great beers!

I know I'll leave some out, but here are some highlights that I can recall today:

    • 2012 Mother of all Storms we drank with about 8 months age on it. Probably the best BW I've had
    • 2008 Bourbon County, on several occasions
    • Beer Geek Vanilla Shake Bourbon Edition I drank after a 2008 Bourbon County that blind sided me.
    • My first Abrasive...and the hundred (or more) I've since had after - that beer is magical to me
    • Pit stop at Town Hall Brewery, and they had a beer called Royal PIA. Holy Crap was that good!
    • Zombie Dust that was 3 days old (yes, freshness matters on this one)
    • My first (and only) Beatification
    • Getting a pour of Morning Delight last year at Darkness Day, followed by 2 more from some very generous people
    • Black Note - on tap, on several occasions
    • My first BBPt5 blew me away
    • My first Permanent Funeral (again, freshness matters on this one)
    Now I'm just rambling.
But I could easily double the size of this list, I'm sure.

My first thought upon reading this....a bottle of 14 day old Weinstephaner Original. The was perfection.

It will take a while to think of 5, but I do know that if I ever get to home-brewing, my end goal is to re-create Devil Mountain Railroad's Five Malt Ale. It was deep copper, nicely sweet without being sugary, and was just my favourite beer ever.

Alas, this brewery has gone by the wayside, and it has been a long while since I tasted it. I only have my memories of what it tasted like.

    Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen
Stone Collab. Mint Chocolate Imperial Stout

    Parabola
    Victory At Sea

^these are beers I'm stoked to have EVERY time I have them, or would be if I could ever get them again. When I drink them I ruminate how there's such a wide divide between these and other's of the same or similar style. All of these are fully deserving of the "world-class" designation. Though it appears BA'ers disagree with me on the Mint Chocolate stout... the gall of the dissenters!
