Your personal beer ticking for 2014

    I know a lot of people want to hit beer tickers over the head with a bat repeatedly sometimes. I understand people can take things overboard. LOL. But, some of us seek joy in trying all the wonderful things they can from many different breweries. Some of us trade in person, trade by shipping, stop on vacations to buy beer you can't get normally, stop on business trips to buy beer, or take beer-cations even.

    For those of you who actually keep up with your beer numbers and what you have tried, how many different beers have you tried in 2014? I actually went back to January 1st and checked my numbers for the year. As of tonight I've had 451 new (at least new to me) and different beers this year. I'm not talking total beers here, just different beers.

    So, who else is a personal numbers geek and knows how many new (to you at least) and different beers you have tried (ticked) this year?

    I tried 196 new beers in 2014, so hats off to you for having 451 new beers this year. I assume you don't have kids like I do, but if you do then you have impressed me even more with that number. Cheers and all the best in 2015!

    I've got a 20 month old toddler. I normally am the one who cooks dinner, and I'll have one beer while cooking dinner. On the weekends I'll have a couple after he goes down for bed. I can think of maybe 3 or 4 times this year I excessively drank more than that. I like hearing other people's stories and numbers. Plus, it helps to validate my insanity knowing there are others like me. LOL.

    Well, I'm ticking my 1000th post to say I've ticked 239 beers on this website, and had more that didn't tick here.

    I've had 25 new beers this year... out of 26 beers I've had period, heh. Of course, I didn't drink beer at all prior to September so I imagine the number's going to be a lot higher next year...

    Just went over 500 on Untappd. Had 367 on here before that. Guess that's why the wife keeps calling me fat bastard....:astonished:

    ~700, not all of my beers from this year are on here.

    Much lower if you only count reviewed beers and I really don't want to count those out.

    I've logged 1303 distinct beers since August 2013. I'd say I'm doing fairly well.

    I started using BA a little late in the game but I did start using Untappd in March of this year and since then a grand total of 1378 distinct beers in 2014! I'll get more on here I promise

    Y'all make me feel better about my drinking habits.

    179 for me. Some gems in there too. Highest rated and favorite of the year: Ithaca Brute, batch 1 from 2008; rated 4.96 . One hell of a beer. Dark Horse high ranking, Westbrook Red Wine Can Can in my top 5 of the year with a 4.66. Also ticked off Bourbon Barrel Aged Dark Lord, which was a several year want for me.

    Great beer year for me!

    A good 350 or more this year I think. That is bound to slow down right? I have just over 730 unique beers. Some are actually ticks, like form a festival or a bottle share but most are reviewed. I love trying new beers. Let's hope next year is a great beer year for everyone =)

    105 for 2014. Think I'll be slowing down even more in 2015 as I shift towards enjoying more of the devil I know instead of the new. Likely start going a lot heavier into homebrewing as well.

    I became a BA member the first week of February so my time period is slightly smaller.
    I'm currently sitting at 270 and looking forward to another awesome year.
