Round here there's still Bois sitting on the shelves, it's a tough sell at $30 a bottle. There's also just shelves of Dry Dock Bligh's Barleywine waiting to be picked up.

It was 4 week old lunch i found up in vermont...i consider it fresh but most people would disagree i suppose...the fact that there was like 8 of them there made it obvious that it wasnt moving off the shelf...awesome find IMO

Good choice! I think these will be fantastic with around 8, 9 months on them.

Hell 4 weeks old is fresh enough for me! Definitely no turd at all. No objection here about freshness but the way "shelf turd: has been described is something that sits on the shelf for way too long. 4 weeks is not long at all. Even in RI I saw 1-2 month old Lunch just hanging around..and those aren't even turds. Nothing that is good beer should be considered a turd.

I love Lunch but Another One has definitely taken over a spot in my fridge.

    To each their own!

A turd is something like the 09 Stone Epic Vertical I bought a few months ago. 5 years sitting around, thats a turd..not to mention it absolutely sucked. Double turd.

Does it count as a shelf turd if it's not actually on the shelf? I found myself a place that has some BCBS and 2013 Abyss sitting around in the back. That's a tough find out here in NorCal (at least in my experience). Pretty pricey though at $17.99 per single 12oz BCBS and $35 for the Abyss. They also have a ton of Bois sitting in their fridge.

Went to a local place yesterday for a four pack of backwoods bastard. They didn't have it, but I left an abundance of black note. Beer gods shining down upon thee!

Alesmith BA Wee Heavy. Several. Just chillin' on shelves -- simple case of sticker shock, I think.
