I'm just interested in knowing how many people review from notes or actually type in reviews as they're drinking.

I find that I write down 90% of my reviews on paper even if my computer/smartphone are nearby because it's annoying to type/drink at the same time.

To those who use notes, do you ever find that you change your rating (1-5) if the description sounds better/worse than what you originally wrote down? I find myself doing this sometimes.

    Just curious. Thanks!

Do them as I drink usually. If its a bomber, I wait for the taste part until I'm almost done. If I have multiple (4/6 pack) I wait until I've drank a few of them (usually over a few nights...usually)

I found this a bit misleading. If you're reviewing from notes, you took those notes while you were drinking, right? So the reviewing part is simply typing them up and applying scores?

Sorry for my idiocy. I'm just a biteen confused.

Nope you're right, it's misleading. I meant do you write them down then post the review later, or do you post it as your drinking?

I think I've done two from notes. I did score them as I was reviewing, so I guess it was pretty much the way I always do it, just not home at the time.

For me, drinking gets in the way of reviewing.

I review as Im drinking mostly. It comes from judging, where you evaluate as you sip. As the beer opens, and as you notice more things, you can go back and edit. I personally think it might give a purer review. For this reason, I will basically never review more than two beers in an evening. On the other hand, I do miss out on reviewing beers I try at bars because of this...

I review (did more of them before the switch to the new format) as I am drinking. Right down the line, A, S, F, M, O. After I finish the glass I make any nessesary thoughts and "send". Very rarely do I do it from notes (not that that is a bad thing).

I always take notes as I drink the beer. Then, after I'm finished, I write by review from the notes that I've taken.

If I am at home with the beer, the review gets entered in real time and posted. If I am at a bar, tasting/bottleshare, etc., the review gets entered into my phone in real time but I upload the reviews to BA later on.
