Agreed - I believe Jerseys breweries are mostly underrated. Kane and Carton are both well known and rightfully so ( Kane's Deep Rooted is amazing ) but Magnify is a up n comer, River Horse, Flying Fish and Forgotten BW make some very tasty brews while Crickethill and Rinn Duin aren't as well known but also make some stellar suds. My last choice was very tough and Forgotten almost had 2 in my sixer, What the Butler Saw was in the running right up to the end.

    Revival Burnsider Pale Ale
    Grey Sail Captains Daughter DIPA
    Trinity IPA
    Proclamation Keraterra
    Foolproof Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter
Proclamation Harper 1 Oak aged Sour Apricot
Rather than present just my favorites I tried to do a representation of different and interesting style produced in the state.
Which is what I would want if a friend gave me a sixer from their state.

This is a really solid list for Maryland you have there. Here's mine:

    Union Double Duckpin (DIPA)
Flying Dog Counter Culture (says Amber ale but I think its more a brown ale myself)
    Monocacy Riot Rye (Rye IPA)
Brewer's Art Beazly (formerly the Ozzy beer) Belgian Strong Pale Ale (Bros gave it a 100, so it has to be great).
Heavy Seas - Loose Cannon (IPA)
Burley Oak - Sorry Chicky (Dry Hopped Sour)

Not sure if allowed based on criteria, but Brewer's Alley in Frederick MD makes a "keg only" Oatmeal Stout that has been in their regular lineup year-round for the last 10+ years that is world class. Been served in many restaurants around Frederick MD and of course at the brew pub. Not sure if that disqualifies it. Rumor has it they are finally going to bottle it though.

    Virginia

Devil’s Backbone – Wood Aged Kilt Flasher
    Devil’s Backbone - Schwartz Bier
Lickinghole Creek – Vanilla Virginia Black Bear
Lickinghole Creek - Nuclear Nugget Imperial Honey IPA
    Port City – Porter
    Strangeways Brewing - Freeze Ray

Many good suggestions in previous posts. I can't believe I left DB's Vienna Lager off the list. My recommended six pack might be very different if Mad Fox, Old Ox and Adroit Theory were bottling all of their beers. One thing is obvious, this exercise makes me better appreciate how much better Virginia beer is these days.
