I love Night Shift, they are doing some funky stuff in Everett.

Deep Ellum is definitely doing that ... I've had Dreamcrusher and their IPA, and both are mighty fine.

Deep Ellum is likely bigger/cooler/better/trendier than Lakewood and Rahr, yes?

Live Oak might beat them all in terms of reputation -- you have to look hard to find someone who'll say bad things about a Live Oak brew. Consensus good stuff. But the buzz Karbach and (512) are making seems to be something special and beyond almost all the rest. Jester King is up there.

The best part: We have more than just Saint Arnold here in Texas. Coupled with Saint Arnold's good stuff, it's a very nice thing.

problem w/ singlecut and barrier is that most of their stuff is on tap only.

I'm excited to try the singlecut ipa this weekend!

In Indiana I would have to go with Daredevil Brewing. Their Lift Off IPA is great as well as their Belgian Strong Ale Muse. Cannot wait for them to bottle!

Flying Dog (MD). Beers like Raging Bitch and Double Dog are pretty well established, but some of their lesser known brews like Wildeman (Farmhouse IPA/Saison), the Fear (Imperial Pumpkin Ale) and Secret Stash Harvest ale are the true stand outs. Not to mention their marketing team is in it to win it. Love their debauched Gonzo-inspired art and outreach.

I would agree with Sun King. They are #5 (ish) in terms of growth nationally, albeit from a small base number. Another one to keep an eye out for, Daredevil. Draft only right now, but they are coming.

Dude. I tried it again and I have to say... I was mistaken. I didn't have it prior to today. I would remember something that good. Spectacular man. Super impressed. I won't judge a brewery on one beer but I can see why you think they're coming up. If everything else is as good, I would agree. But as far as sales man Sun King is blowing shit away.

I would agree with this. Cutters Floyds Folly taste like a decent beer ruined with carmel syrup. Had Full Court IIPA tonight as well. Not impressed.

Seconding Pipeworks and Solemn Oath on the Illinois front, though my experience with the latter is limited to having a few beers at the GI block party a few weeks ago and a Snaggletooth Bandana at Kuma's (ordered due to my own insufferable snaggletooth). Pipeworks is just consistently solid.

I absolutely love what Neshaminy Creek is doing. County Line IPA is awesome. The Leon RIS might be one of my favorite beers.

I hate to say it, because its nice to be able to go to the store and pick up Unobtainium, Gorillanaut, or several other big beers at this moment, but I think Straight to Ale will become nationally recognized soon. Aside from their "dinner bottle" selections, Monkeynaut is my go to sixer.

On the other hand-once Good People releases Coffee Oatmeal Stout in cans, I won't be able to turn down either it, or Snake Handler anytime I see them.

Here in Hawaii Big Island Brewhaus just started bottling a few of their beers. Overboard Ipa, Golden Sabbath and White Mountain Porter. I really enjoyed the Overboard Ipa and Golden Sabbath, which is a belgian-style golden ale. Haven't had the porter yet, but I've heard great things about it. It's made with toasted coconut and locally grown coffee and it's on my list to try. Unfortunately, it's only distributed in a few stores in Hawaii and not on Kauai. We do have Kauai Island Brewery though, and their Captain Cook Ipa is quite good. Hopefully they'll start bottling within a couple of years or so.

I think Jester King is still up-and-coming in Texas... They've got their first fruited sour coming soon, which is utterly stunning (Atrial Rubicite) and are already have brewed several batches of spontaneously fermented beer in their coolship that will be released in 2-3 years.

They are also going to be one of the first production breweries in Texas to convert to a brewpub license (with the new laws which just passed)... allowing them to do bottle releases and sell beer on-premises to the public at their brewery.

Hops & Grain is also doing amazing stuff at their brewery now with their Greenhouse series, Volumes of Oak series and new Volumes of Funk series. Not to mention their solid core lineup.

I definitely like them. I make a point to get out there to try everything new they put out, but it grinds me a bit that they only do Belgian-style stuff. I appreciate that they're different, but I needs my hops. Citranation was very nice, Oasis was a horrible disappointment.

Even though they are celebrating there 25 th anniversary, Ill go with Lakefront Brewer (Wisconsin).. Over the last 2 years they have really been expanding there line with there 1 off My Turn series along with having 4 different 25 th anniversary beers that will be released though out this year. They also did a Black Friday special bomber release.
