You really need to come visit Florida if you think its only been CC. In the last two to three years several have popped up including Funky Buddha, Intuition, Cycle (Peg's Cantina), Wakefield etc. Five years ago you would have been spot on. Next time your in town I would be happy to bring you around. I think you will be happy with the trip. Thankfully it has gotten a whole lot better down this way. Cheers.

Hate to say it but sunking= hype. The osiris pale ale taste like a hopped up bud light. Hell even had their jungle juice dipa on tap, went right back to headhunter. Their the first brewery around Indiana to can and their catchy cans, that's what they have going for them. Tried daredevils revolution ipa and thought it was meh, will definetly give another shot tho.

Treehouse for sure in MA...JA is already a MA houshold name and is in most bars that have craft offerings. Nightshift is doing good things, but I expect Trillium to do some damage by the time next year for sure.

I saw some mention of Pipeworks from Illinois...They have room to grow but for me their beers are too inconsistent. I understand variations from batch to batch but sometimes there's a big difference. The last two releases of Ninja vs Unicorn didn't taste the same...maybe my palate memory isn't great but just my observation. For me personally I'd like to see pipeworks scale it back a little because you see A LOT of their beers collecting dust on shelves. The unicorn series and Ninja series beers sell as fast as they come out of the box but everything else sits.

Revolution is really starting to take off but I'm not sure how big they plan on getting. Anti-Hero is a can't fail canned IPA and A little crazy is right behind it in my opinion. I also enjoy a lot of their other beers as well.

Maybe not an up and comer but I feel Two Brothers is really starting to pump out some quality beers. Side kick will be in my fridge all summer right next to anti-hero. I still don't get the hate towards them by a lot of locals. Just because they don't make a double citra hopped IPA doesn't mean they're a shitty brewery. I enjoy their main stay beers Cane and Ebel, Ebels Weiss, and Domain Dupage. I wish Revelry was a year round but I'll have to make due with the seasonal release. Alright gonna end my fan boy rant...lol

I haven't had anything else from half acre other than Daisy Cutter and Double Daisy cutter but both super solid and delicious.

I love Ale Asylum up in Madison. Bedlam and Hoppolicious are great beers. I feel they're what anyone starting a brewery should model after. Let's make 4-5 solid year rounds and do some good seasonals and then slowly start making special releases. Their new brewery/pub is nice and I like the brewpub only experimental releases. The Blood Red Ale they had a few months ago was good as hell.

And if someone wants to correct me on this one Tyranena is really coming around. I haven't really heard of them till recently so I may have been missing the boat on them but I picked up Shaggin in the Woods the other day and that is a damn good bourbon barrel aged scotch ale. With I bought the other 4 pak.

For me I think it is Intuition ale works here in Jacksonville Florida. This brewery is a little over 2 years old and has grown a lot. They really make some great beers like
    I-10 ipa
    Peoples pale ale
Truck stop - smoked breakfast stout with maple and bold bean (local) coffee
Under Dark - BA imperial stout
    Darkstar- milk stout
As well as a bunch od different saisons.
Also Greenroom brewing at Jacksonville beach is another up and comer here in Florida. They make some really interesting stuff and have some fantastic Berliner wies beers. Jacksonville has a lot of breweries poping up at least 6 have opend up in the last 4 years so if youe ever in Jacksonville check them out. Cheers

We have a couple of super new places opening in Temecula where I live.

Ironfire is the best of them. The guys that started it both worked as brewers for Ballast Point.

    This is my favorite http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/30228/87103

Thanks for the recos - it has been about 3 years since I was last in Tampa and Boca. I have tried a couple of bottles of Funky Buddha (can't recall exactly what) and don't think I was knocked out by them, but am happy to be proven wrong or outdated.

    cheers!

I'll echo this. Black Raven is still largely a draft outfit but their beers draw a lot of acclaim. Fremont has been around a bit and they're really filling a growing niche here in Seattle.

I'd add American out of Edmonds. Their owner seems to be a sharp business guy and their head brewer is an old hand and well regarded. Their Breakaway IPA is good in a bomber and just great on draft. Both their Oatmeal Stout and APA are solid and all their stuff is very accessibly priced.

Definitely one of two: Trinity Brewing CO in Colorado Springs as well as Paradox Brewing CO in Woodland Park. Trinity makes some of the most experimental Saisons and sours in existence and their branding I think catches peoples eye on the trade market. For example: The "Case of the Mondays" series that features office space themed wild ales/saisons/sours like "Of Face", "Damn, it feels good to be a gangster","Red Swingline", and "TPS Reports." The bottles are a bit pricey ranging from 14-25$ (they're 750ml champagne bottles and wax sealed) but I've stocked up in the event that they gain some serious traction with traders.

Paradox makes some crazy Ameri-Belgo themed beers and one of their big kicks is that 100% of their beers are barrel aged, and mostly in wine barrels. Not only do their beers taste fantastic but they all come bottled with awesome swing tops.

Honorable mention goes to Crooked Stave, but quite honestly I'm not a massive fan of their seasonal beers.

I think Kona & Maui (formerly fish & game BP) are the only two brewers who are still in the game from when I was there in 96-2001 ( I don't count the Sam Choy "Brew Pub", mediocre at best
