For PA - Draai Laag with some interesting Belgian styles and Helltown with some top notch IPAs.

I was curious as to why you could find it only on tap. Didn't know they were canning. I hope Armored Fist makes it into distribution.

It may have been said, but Mad Fox is great. Oaked Crazy Ivan and Oaked Wee Heavy are incredible.

Wow. Taste is subjective. I get it. But to say that Walkabout is even remotely in the same stratosphere as Schlafly TIPA reeks of homerism to me. TIPA is a world class IPA. Walkabout is a solid pale ale. It honestly tastes like what I imagine a small beer made from TIPA would taste like.

I just do not understand the Hoosier love for Flat 12. The best thing I've had has been the Pogue's Run Porter and it's above average at best. Unfortunately no one else is really charring my tree right now either. I tried the Half Court and Floyd's Folly from Cutters and they were ok. Triton makes a very solid amber, but everything else is the definition of middle-of-the-road.

I am also becoming a big fan of Renegade brewery. They have just recently gotten into stores but some of there specialties were delicious. Black Gold (peanut butter stout), Hammer and Sickle (imperial stout), and Una Mas (chili beer) have all been very good. I am currently drinking a 5 o'clock afternoon ale from them and loving it.

Earth Eagle Brewings in Portsmouth, NH is making a pretty big name for themselves. Their New England Gangsta IPA is amazing. They have a few other pretty good offerings as well.

I've never been, but I heard Blue Lobster is also doing some good things. I'm making my first trip this Friday so I'm hoping for the best.

MMM For my city I'd go with Big Dogs Brewery. They have been doing the pub thing for at least 15-20 years now and their beers have come a long way. They have started to make some really solid solid stuff. Props to them.

Founders just showed up in Texas, so can I say Founders? I'm going to say Founders.

Seriously though, I'm a fan of Real Ale's Fireman's 4 as well as their 4 Squared. 512, Live Oak, St. Arnold's, etc all put out some good brews, but I haven't found anything to replace Schlafly or Bell's down here. Beer and pizza are two things the Midwest whips some Texan ass with.

blah.....that logo makes me sick. So tired of seeing them anymore. So what if they are canning in KY? I just wish theyd put out something truly unique and worth all the shit coming across my twitter feed every day for a month.

Living this far east on Long Island, I'd have to sY being within walking distance of Greenport Harbor is awesome. They are moving their beers into the city, just purchased a bigger building to to more food/distro.i think bottles are within the next year. Get ready Northeast!

So...KY. Against the Grain FTW. I cant express how awesome this brewery is. I have never been disappointed in what I have had from them. Sure, I dont like every style, but those that I have had have been amazing. Now that they are bottling, I hope to share that with the rest of the country. Of course, they travel everywhere now, brewing in Chicago and Belgium and promoting themselves and Louisville in the craft beer world.

Also, Country Boy has continued to impress me. They are extremely solid for being so fresh but I have every confidence that they will perfect their vision and supply more amazing beer locally. Hopefully, they will keep growing and expanding and we can have an amazing duo around here!

I'm in agreement with those that mentioned Indeed and Steel Toe. I really like Steel Toe's offerings, but they are small and only bottle in large format, which makes widespread distribution difficult. Indeed has wider distribution, and their canned offerings are in constant rotation in my fridge. Their experimental brews have been unique, and I can't say I have had one that I didn't enjoy. That being said, however, I would expect to see big things come from both breweries in the next couple of years.

I have tried many good beers from them. It must have been so hard to see a logo that often in your treasured twitter feed. Sounds like it's a real problem in your life. Also, what does canning in Kentucky have to do with anything?

From the original post I quoted; " only having canned there awesome IPA and amber..."

....but I digress. People still buy Miller, Bud and Coors. Why not West 6th?
