Solemn Oath in Illinois definitely. Chocobomb.....please, please put this in bottles or cans. PLEASE. Yarnbomb was tasty too, and the only "hoppy hefeweizen" or hoppy wheat beer I've ever liked, but Chocobomb was just ridiculous.

I haven't liked anything that Mother's has out out. I did feel bad when I was at the Flying Saucer late one night and the bartender excitedly told me about the welcoming event that they had that night, and I went on a mini rant. Apparently the brewmaster was nearby lol. I felt like a dick.

Not in love with their lower abv stuff, but otherwise I enjoy their stuff. I would certainly take their hoppy offerings over Boulevard, with maybe the exception of Tank 7...

The imperial brown mole was an abomination. Milf was a gimmicky hot unbalanced mess, very amateur. Spring batch was good, if you are unfamiliar with the style.

I am so happy to see my state get the respect that is due for this great Brewery. For a young brewery they have some lineup of fantastic beers and yes in the rareified company with Victory,Founders, Firestone Walker,Green Flash and Lagunitas. My hat is off to you.

You're right, but I can't see them getting much bigger. It would probably fuck with their hip image. Also, if they keep just brewing a bunch of one-offs, they won't get bigger. I'm not saying that's bad, but having a consistent lineup is how a brewery grows. I wouldn't mind seeing them stay the way they are. I hope Phila Brewing Company takes off more though. At least to pass up Yards.

I'm certainly not saying that they should expand. I just think they easily could be successful if they chose to do so.

Out here in Massachusetts I'd say Tree House Brewing Company is definitely an up and comer. Personally they have made some of the best beers I've had since moving out to Mass. If you've been lucky enough to have Julius I think you'll agree with me that they are something special.
