Not sure if they are the true up and comers in my state among all others, but I'm really rooting for Brau Brothers. They brew in this tiny town in the SW part of MN called Lucan, population like 200 people, although I understand that they are now going to be moving to the larger town of Marshall. They are one of the breweries that got me into craft and I just really like their products.

In Indiana, have to add Bier Brewery (Indianapolis) and Iechyd Da (Elkhart). Now if they would only package and distribute....

You will not be disappointed! I went down a couple weeks ago for their "A wolf among seas" event (11 different single-hop versions of Head High plus some other goodies) and it was absolutely fantastic!!

Yeah, Carton is also excellent, just not quite on the same level as Kane right now. I do think they are definitely an up and comer as well, and people should definitely seek out their stuff!

You're looking in the wrong places. Karbach is available at Spec's Walnut, The Bottle Shop, and Lonestar regularly. (512) is on tap all over the place, as they have limited bottling anyway. DFW is also flush with JK bottles. I think Jester King is the up and comer from a trading potential standpoint, and many people would say that the limiteds can hold their own pretty well right now.

Deep Ellum worries me. I wonder how they will handle bringing in a new head brewer and consistency. They have spot-on marketing and are expanding at the right pace though.

I like Horseheads for the new commer in upstate new york. When they get it right they really get it right. Not too many people have tried or rated them yet.

Came to post Hardywood. Agree with BMB. Small shout out to the smallest brewery around Champion Brewing Company in Charlottesville. Cheers.

I am surprised no one has mentioned Relic yet. I'd pick them for my CT up and comer, there beers are much more interesting than Two Roads, who has so far, underwhelmed me. Heck, Willimantic Brewing makes better beer than Two Roads hands down.

For my home state of MA I have to go with Treehouse and Enlightenment Ales.

Two Roads takes the cake for up and coming. Their ceiling is the highest imo. Great Pils, Saison, and Heffe. Not a huge fan of their IPA's but I did enjoy the Igor's, Henry's Farm, Conntucky and yes, the Holiday.

For Michigan, I'll add Perrin to the already mentioned Odd Side, Greenbush.

Short's is pretty well known inside Michigan and the surrounding area already, but they've been pumping out incredible beers about every 2 weeks this year.

Dark Horse has been around for 16 years, I believe. They opened in 1997 and were the 15th brewery in Michigan

I too am not that impressed with Olde Hickory's day to day beers. I do like/love most of their bigger beers.

I agree with all of the Tree House sentiments. Small brewery centric with a few local bars carrying a tap or two. It will be interesting to see how they grow. Only had Julius and Curiosity One and enjoyed both of them. Headed back in that direction in two weeks so hopefully they will have some good things available.
