I've decided I won't be doing anything different as retired guys are basically living on vacation anyway, and, it's too damn hot to go anywhere.

Very spoiled this year. Going to Bay area end of the month to visit my folks for a week with my girlfriend. Everyone is into beer so we'll do all the good stuff. Already drooling.

Then in early August I get to go Colorado for a week. Most of the time will be in a very rural area, but we are spending two nights in Denver so Ill be able to stock up for the rest of the time spent away.

Lastly, I think I am going to be able to swing a trip to NH in October. Will fly through Boston so I can bring a haul up to the mountains from Trillium and other Boston goods. And then Ill probably try to do a side trip to check out the new Alchemist location as my family lives about an hour away.

And if anyone hates me for posting this, note that on not one of these trips will I get to work any less than 20 hours due to both school and work obligations.

Just got back from the 4th in Asheville. Fit in Wicked Weed, Burial, Green Man, Bhramari, Hi Wire, Altamont, Mill River, Twin Leaf, Zebulon, Sweeten Creek, Thirsty Monk, Catawba, Sierra Nevada. Kicked ass, but my liver will never be the same.

We recently did a 4 day Disney Bahamas cruise followed by 5 days at Disneyworld. Disney boats have several bars, but not a lot of craft. I did try a few, but not much to my liking. I had a local beer in the Bahamas that was pretty decent. At Disneyworld, the best place for craft is Epcot, as you tour the world walking around the lake. I had couple of craft there. Had fun, but definitely was ready to get home to my cellar of craft.

Columbus, OH and Virginia Beach. Hit up The Andersons and Weiland's in C'bus and most of the Total Wines shops in the Tidewater area and was able to get enough imported stuff to boost my countries count to 50. Also picked up a few state ticks with some fantastic stuff from the East Coast. I also managed to part with a crapload of $$$ in the process.

My folks live right outside Asheville. So frequent long weekends in the mountains. With great beers.

My plans have already been well underway. I went to a beer festival in Omaha, Nebraska tons of great beers there from breweries i can't get in my area. Went to Chicago toured and sampled revolution brewing also picked up some dogfish head and founders there. Just got from Vegas where I tried sin city brewing and on the lay over in Arizona tried some four peaks. Got family coming in from Texas that will be bring some Texas brews. And hopefully make to Free state brewing as well. Very productive to me.

Dr., if you go back to RB Del, check out Dewey Beer Co.
Just a Jolley Trolley away (or good walk) from Rehoboth. Been twice, very good food and a wide variety of brews. I have family there and will be going back (in addition to DFH of course). Cheers!

Not quite summer, but @PickleJuice and I will be hitting Austin in April for a bit of Jester King and other local brew action. I'm turning 40 so I got to choose a "mini" vacation which I of course turned into a beercation.

At this point, I'm planning on visiting Chicago, and Las Vegas this year. Probably won't try to bring back anything from Vegas since I'll be flying and most likely won't have a checked bag. I do have a few spots picked out to visit in Chicago. Might even pack a snifter to enjoy a brew or two in the room since I can't wander out at night.

I am dumping 75% of my tax refund into a CD to help save for a possible trip to Belgium/France next year (the other 25% will be used for retirement - not beer, unfortunately).

I was in Chicago in November. Great beer city. One under the radar place I really enjoyed was Dovetail Brewing. I took an Uber to Dovetail, then walked to another brewery a block away (Begyle), then about 1/2 mile walk to Half Acre. On the way to Half Acre you also walk by a nice local bottle shop. I forget the name, but you can't miss it if you walk to Half Acre.

The unfortunate side of my trip is I'll be traveling as a mentor for a high school robotics team, so my days are booked from about 9 AM to 9 PM every day. The upside is I get to visit a city I've never visited. I plan on running before competition and seeing the city and hopefully visiting a local bottle shop to snag anything I can't get in Kansas City. I've had thoughts of flying out the same day they drive up just to walk around the city for a day. That wouldn't be a bad deal....

I'm planning on taking a vacation in March, but my plans are 100% up in the air, at the moment. New beers are the only thing assured, where isn't.
