Your Summer vacation beer plans?

I am seeing more snowmobilers come here from Iowa more then usual, so I will get my chance to ask sooner then later!

I mean I asked a group of guys to bring me Fargo Brewing Wood Chipper IPA and paid em 40 packs for the six pack!

 

I've got myself a standing invite to Conn. that I need to make good on.

 

I am going to drink ice cold Corona Light straight out of the bottle with my feet in the sand/water as much as possible.

 

I actually take a lot of small trips, but here we go!

Visit some friends in Chicago, hope to pick up some Pipeworks, Surly, and other area goodies.
Going to a bachelor party in Windsor, which won't provide for a lot of craft beer, but maybe I'll find some shelf turds.
Hopefully an impromptu trip to Asheville again.

Also will be brewing a lot of beer, playing disc golf, and doing a lot of yard work this summer, both of which require consumption of beer.

 

Get out east, if possible. VT, CT, MA

 

Headed to Portland, OR for family, so probably go barhopping there. Family is big into craft beer so it'll be a good time.

 

Once I figure out what I'm doing in March I'll let you know what I'm doing in July.
BUT......there is the possibility of a Fall trip for some NE hops!

 

Going back to Asheville, loved my first visit, the city the climate and of course the brew.

 

I have tickets to see this little post punk outfit in San Diego this May called The Cure, so I will assuredly fill the back of the van with at least a couple of hundred dollars worth of beer for me and my friends as well as hitting a couple of breweries in the process.

 

I will be drinking beer after work every day this summer.

I'm moving to California in July, so some trips to Chico for Sierra Nevada, Paso Robles for Firestone-Walker, and the Bay Area for more breweries than I can handle are planned.

Mid-May - Massachusetts: Tree House, Trillium, Cambridge Brewing Co., Night Shift, Wormtown, Jack's Abby.
End of May - Midwest Trip (MN, IA, NE, SD, ND, Winnipeg): Surly, Minneapolis Town Hall, Day Block, Toppling Goliath, Nebraska Brewing, The Jaipur, Junkyard, Beaver Island, Dangerous Man, Harriet, Northbound, Sisyphus.
June - Massachusetts: NEBCO, Tree House, Trilllium
July - Vermont beer weekend. Hill Farmstead stop for sure. Hoping The Alchemist's new facility will be open by then.
August - Pennsylvania: Tired Hands and Stoudt's (because I'm getting married here)
First week of September - CT/MA/NH/ME: ferry to CT; hitting up Trillium; checking out Deciduous, Stoneface, and Smuttynose in NH; Bissell Brothers, Foundation, Allagash, Sebago, Oxbow, and MBC in Maine. Going to stop at Gun Hill Brewing Co. in the Bronx on the way home, assuming it's open on Labor Day.
October - 10 countries in Europe (honeymoon). Not a beer-oriented trip, but I should still be having some great beers in Italy (Piccolo Birrificio Clandestino and Open Baladin), Barcelona (BrewDog Bar, Cerveceria BierCAB, Lambicus), and Dublin (JW Sweetman, and yeah... probably Guinness).

 

I want to visit Russian River again this year, pick up some of their sours.

 

3 nights in and around Seattle and Portland, then two nights of Phish at Gorge. Then the awesome drive down to San Fransisco hitting all the breweries along the way. First actual "beer trip" out west! Pretty damn excited about it and worried about not being able to hit all the places I want to!!

 

Staying right the fuck here in Vermont, drinking Lost Nation Gose on my buddy's sailboat on Lake Champlain, throwing back a few on top of mountains, making some trips to HF, all while dealing with an insane amount of tourists at my job.

 

I would check out "Suarez Family Brewery" in Livingston NY. It's not HF but it's run by a former HF brewer. They just opened and look to be awesome. As for VA - Hardywood and The Veil in Richmond are great - not sure about the rest of the state.

I'll be at Mansfield, Hartford, and Syracuse with some good brews if you want to meet up for a bottle share. I have a post in the phish net forums trying to get a good share going.

 

My birthday is in September and i am planning a trip to Asheville with my friends, if they can swing it.

 

Ill be at the phish shows in portland, mass, and CT and will be hitting bissell foundation austin street allagash trillium tree house -- can trade as well if anyone interested
