About the only thing I haven't tasted or bought that I really, really want is Fou' Foune. Perhaps some of the barrel-aged Damon varieties from Hill Farmstead as well. And Hunahpu's. And Sappy Slappy Bastard, but I don't really think of brewpub exclusives as a "want," since there's no practical way to get any that doesn't involve trading that I don't want to do, or an impromptu trip to the brewery.

Y'know, good question. I really don't think about this one in list form since I'm still working my way out of "amateur" rankings and just happy to get what I can. I think I'd go with (in no order and all stuff I could actually obtain; i.e. not pay something asinine for):

    Pliny
    Parabola
    Zombie Dust
    CC Marshal Zukhov
CC Good Gourd (I love my pumpkin beers)
    BCBS
    BCBCS
Anything from Hill Farmstead. Literally anything (though I'd lean more on wanting any of the Saisons)
Anything from Surly (mostly Abrasive though)
and probably Lunch to give that a shot. I seem to love IPAs from that region.

  6. VTMoondog

Wow. Guess I need to start making more trips over to Hill Farmstead, and a trip or two to Warren General Store ( Lawson's) cuz from what I can see...most all of you want what is not impossible ( but takes time and planning) to get here in Vt. Heady of course is the exception, and is easy to get almost any time.
    Mine:
    Zombie Dust
    PLiny
    Dark Lord
    BCBS variants
    Hunaphu
    Bell's Expedition stout
    King Henry
    Parabola
    KBS

    * this thread is going to turn into an impromptu ISO/FT thread real fast!!! inboxes are about to blow up (depending on your location/access)

This is a good question. I especially like it when approached from the angle of beers you want but haven't had yet. So that's how I constructed my list, omitting anything that I've had before, no matter how amazing. It would be too impossible to construct otherwise. In no particular order...

    Pliny The Younger
    Beatification
    Temptation
    Westy 12
    Westy 8
    Westy Blonde
    Zombie Dust
    HF Double Galaxy
    HF Anna
    HF Juicy

Some of these seem more likely that I will obtain them at some point than others. That being said, I never thought I'd get to try Heady without a pilgrimage, and one BA was kind enough to share a couple of cans, so never say never.

The thing that is interesting to me, looking back on my list, is that some beers I want because I've had other stuff from that brewery and loved it--the Russian River selections, for example. Whereas the others, like Westy and HF, are breweries I have yet to sample, but breweries whose reputations precede themselves by a large margin.

i live in hawaii so i basically only can get local beers, west coast/national breweries with large distributions, and then the more easy to find imports. there are a couple craft bars that have stuff you can't get at bottle shops however. but that's why my list is gonna seem kinda weird to those of you lucky enough to live in almost any other state.

Weihenstephaner Vitus is kinda easy to get here in Europe. The other 5 would be already in my cellar if US websites shipped beer to Europe, but they don't. But luckily I'm already talking with some BA users for beer trading. :grinning:

I live in a liquor control state, hours from any larger city, with no connections.
So I basically want all of the super-hyped beers everyone raves about but are impossible to find for anyone who doesn't live next door to the brewery that makes them.
