Your Top 10 Maine Beers

    Maine will hit 100 craft breweries this year and has beers consistently in the top 100 in the world rated and not just Dinner by Maine beer Company...here's my list of top 10 beers in Maine. I would love to see other's list.

    1. Dinner - Maine beer co.
    2. Swish - Bissell bros.
    3. Substance - Bissell bros.
    4. Epiphany - Foundation
    5. Prototype 4 - Foundation
    6. A beer has no name - Liquid riot
    7. Tesselation - Lone pine
    8. Venture - Foundation
    9. Iris - One eye brewing
    10. Ozone - Orono brewing

    Honestly, there wouldn't be anything from Maine Brewing on my list, even Lunch and Dinner.
    I would have at least one from Allagash, probably one of the Coolship beers, but most anything would fit, I like a lot of Tributary's beers. Gneiss is doing some really interesting things.

    Well I've only had Swish and Reciprocal so those are my #1 and #2 Maine beers.....please send Maine beer care package :wink: :wink: :wink:

    5.) Allagash White
    6.) Allagash Saison

    8.) Allagash Tripel
    9.) Maine Beer Co. Zoe
    10.) Peak Organic Fresh Cut

    There. I made a top ten Maine beers list easily, and I haven't had one single beer from Bissell Brothers or Foundation. I just have mad love for Allagash, Peak Organic, and Maine Beer Company. I've just had almost every beer from them I could possibly get here in the Southern Tier. :slight_smile:

    I'm supposed to be cleaning bathrooms but this, like nearly anything else, sounds like more fun. These are just from my ratings sorted in descending order. I had to do 11 because the last two were ties...

    Maine Beer Hop Program - Beer IV
    Tributary Brewing IPA
    Foundation Brewing Prototype 4
    Bissell Brothers. Swish
    Bissell Brothers Reciprocal
    Maine Beer Dinner
    Foundation Epiphany
    Austin Street Six Grain
    Hidden Cove Compadre
    Foundation Riverton Flyer

    Can't be of much help here, since so few Maine beers seem to get distributed to this area. Mostly what I've had are some Allagash and 2 or 3 Maine Beer Co. beers (which were a bit pricey to have much of again). But if I look at the top 100 list for Maine, I've not even seen as many 10 of those.

    Although I can say that the Allagash White is, for my money, the best Wit beer being done in the US. So that would definitely be included if I had a top 10 list.

    Nice list! I feel like hidden cove is under rated. Austin st. Is not available enough in beer shops like bier cellar and cigars and spirits. Wish prototype 4 would come back !

    I agree I love gneiss. They have that new one at with orono brewing that is worth a taste.

    Peak organic is great! Love the juice. Its almost too available which makes it less desired. However for those who love beer it's a great choice.
