California: it's California
Illinois: I try to stay local if I can..there's been about 8 new breweries a year the last few years opening around Chicago alone
Michigan: easy access to a great state

Number 1 is not even close with all the great beer in Michigan.
Not enough on a regular basis from any place else to give it a ranking.

Virtually all of the Illinois beer that I consume is out of Chicago. I guess I wanted to specify that by using CHI. But now that I'm re-reading it, it's mostly just confusing.

 

What do you people no in the north east drink from Vermont?

 

PA, then a toss up probably between NY, MI, CO, and CA.
