Fair enough, I didn't actually check the classification and saw others threw it on here so figured I'd use that too since it's not bad at all.

Good to know. It's decent enough and always available at our local Mexican restaurants.

    Worst:
Steel reserve....most AALs taste like shit but this is the only one I've had that manages to be unbalanced as well. I can taste too much booze in this one.

  9. Auraan

    Best:
    1. PBR, the most true to form AAL I have had. I legitimately like it.
    2. Modelo Especial, a good, flavorful, decent beer.
    3. Rolling Rock, light, spritzy, watery, but after being out in the field in the Four Corners or Arizona desert it's amazing.

    Worst:
    1. Imperial, a metallic, ugly mess
    2. Coors, always has a nasty canned vegetable taste and I got banana esters in the aroma once.
    3. Corona Extra, a skunky, metallic, off-tasting hot mess.

I'll repeat myself here-some of America's best regarded beers on this site are brewed with adjuncts. It isn't only pale adjunct lagers which use them.
If you regard corn sugar as an adjunct look no further than Pliny the Elder.

If AALs are my only option I tend to order a Pepsi....

But seriously, I guess I'd take an Alexander Keith's, MGD or Labatt 50 if I had to. I'd probably sulk a little as I ordered them though.

Worst: Michelob was particularly unpalatable the one time I drank it. Similarly, Mickey's and Old Milwaukee.

Call me snob or whatnot, but unless it's offered to me free at a friend's house/cookout/etc, I'm NOT drinking AAL. I'm definitely no whale hunter, and tend towards reasonably priced sixers and bombers, but see no real "point" in drinking low quality swill. Gimme an iced tea or water, and I'll have a nice bitter, saison, dubbel, brown ale, etc when I get home. However, as I THINK it technically fits (though it might be brewed w/ale yeast, I can't remember), New Glarus Spotted Cow is far and away one of the only adjunct-laden ligt AAL style beers worth drinking. Smoother edges, better quality, but still quite light and crisp. The worst? I HATE what I perceive as an odd fruitiness to Budweiser, and Hamm's has a very bizzare finish to me. No thanks!
