Anchorage Deal With the Devil. My local beer hoarder who gets Cantillon and Dark Lord by the case can't seem to get any traction on it, and he lands everything.

It was on Leuken's site for a while, I got four of them. Definitely worth every possible cent and more.

AB Siberian Panther, DB Huna and Prop. Not that I would consider them " white whales" but I have had two beers from Hill Farmstead and now I want to try everything they have.

Oh, I guess reading the OP and the title and all the posts is less important than being a dick.

You'd be surprised how obtainable those are with a bit of effort.

I hope you eventually get it man.. it's not fair how good it is. Had it twice now- first time at a tasting where someone from work brought it, second time I traded for it by doing what you attempted to do. Traded 10 bottles (around $120) for that SOB.

And Moby Dick would have been easy to kill with modern equipment. Just because they don't represent a white whale to you doesn't mean they aren't utterly unattainable to the poster. I read white whale as being a beer you simply see no hope of getting, but you think about anyway. I think of some of the beers on this list as unicorns, not white whales: dreams that have entered the realm of myth. They may exist, but are so removed from my life as to be magical. I am not haunted by my inability to get a beer only released once 5 yrs. ago to a small group of devoted customers who took it home and drank it and marveled at its wonders. I do think about those brews that have hundreds or thousands of reviews, but are as likely for me as a walk on the moon.
