Eh, I wouldn't waste your time. It's generic ice cream, labeled for them. They stopped making it because it didn't sell. Now they have massively increased name recognition, so they brought it back.

How do you know its generic, and simply labeled for them?

It's a totally separate company run by Dick Yuengling's brother (or some other family member). He's basically just lending the Yuengling name to his brother's ice cream business.

And this is what you want: http://www.woodsidefarmcreamery.com/

I was back home in Pottsville a few weeks ago and shit was gone completely from the shelves of the local grocery store...people bought this like it was an Ice Cream whalez. It is just generic Ice Cream though, but most people I talked to said its tasty, it just doesn't really have anything to do with the brewery.

Good to know. I haven't had the new stuff, I just recall the original as being sub-par. Like most things Yuengling, I'm not a big fan of the product, but I like that they are successful.

Im sad to read that Yuengling wasnt actually involved in the making of this because quite frankly it would have been the best product they have ever released. I have lived my entire life ~30 mins from Yuengling and its the suds I grew up on. I still get sentimental and buy a pint of lager or porter from time to time.

Regarding the ice cream...it is awesome. I tried the "black and tan" which is dark chocolate and salted caramel. I dont even like ice cream and could have finished the entire container in a single sitting. My wife wants to try the other flavors but for the price its marked at, im in no hurry to get it again.
