Saw a Instagram post from Green Man at the soft opening for the brewery and the initial list looks awesome. Really excited to see what this brewery can bring and I'm actually surprised to see that it is not being discussed given how good Green Man's sours are. Thoughts?

i had heard that he'd be opening in early december but haven't seen anything definitive. it's hard for me to get overly excited about something that i can't put on my calendar but i'm definitely looking forward to seeing what mike has been working on.

The write-up I read on Facebook said something like they hope to have a few beers ready by the end of this year, but no launch date is yet set. I think that this and the fact that they're not really going to have a tasting room there is why you haven't seen much talk about them. Once bottles start showing up places then it'll be different.

Plus it's going to take a while for their sour and funky stuff to be ready. I'd imagine you'll see his last round of Green Man sours released before anything comparable from ZAA comes out.

I'm definitely excited about it though. Although I do wish he could have come up with a better name for it.

I saw the Facebook posts but I was under the impression he was only going to be releasing bottles. The pictures looked like a pretty big tap list. I'm pretty excited for these beers though.

FWIW, I think Zebulon is a cool name, especially given its meaning. Awesome avatar change Btw, dude.

Damn, I got excited when I saw Zebulon. Thought I'd be able to stop by after visiting my Grandma in Wendell every Sunday. Asheville has all the fun...

It would be nice if this was actually in Zebulon, NC, but I guess I'll have to make the long trip down to Asheville to see what they're up to. I really digged the Green Man sours the past few years, so I'm sure Karnowski's beers are going to be great. I'm excited to taste what ZAA comes up with.

I went by today and thought all of the beers were fantastic. Of the 6 I tried the only one I didn't really care for was Batch #2, but it is also a style I didn't like.

They had Batch #1 and #2, Apricot Berliner, Grissette, Hoppy Farmhouse, and (my favorite of the bunch) Historical IPA with Brett.

I was able to make it by and it was definitely one of the stronger openings I've been to. Looking forward to their future offerings!

For those in Raleigh, State of Beer has a few bottles from them on the shelf.

Was in there yesterday and I believe they sold out of the saison pretty quick (unless I somehow was missing it), but they still had several cases of the stout.
