Any thoughts on the initial opening of Zoiglhaus in Lents? I've been wanting to go but thought I'd gauge opinions before visiting next week. http://www.newschoolbeer.com/2015/09/first-look-at-zoiglhaus-brewing-now-open.html http://pdx.eater.com/2015/9/21/9362...o-opens-in-lents-photos-menu-revealed#4836750
I stopped by for a quick jolt on a long bike ride last Sunday. Nice big airy space, and the fresh hop Oktoberfresh was tasty. That was the only beer I tried, and I didn't sample any food, but I'm looking forward to more of both on my next visit. Its proximity to a MAX station doesn't hurt either. My advice: Go.
Stopped by over the weekend. Very roomy interior and still had that new bar smell, but not noticing much German flair to the decor, menu and beers definitely. Had an appetizer, not enough to judge food. Beer was rather great for a newer establishment. Had two full beers and four tasters all were well above average easy drinking lower abv. Beer list was pretty diverse for German styles with ipa, apa, and cda along with some belgian ales and a few with experimental hops. Exceeded my expectations.
