Yes yes I know, another Zombie Dust thread...I'm truly sorry, but I need some help finding an actual 6 pack in the city or near north burbs. I've seen a few places selling $4 singles, but that is insane and will not pander to that BS. Looking for one sixer to share with my bro for the holiday. I have checked all my usual places as well as some off the beat type places with no luck. Anyone know of a place that still has one? If so, please shoot me a BM.
You will not find a fairly priced sixer just sitting around. If you want to pay $15-20, I'm sure some shady liquor store will be glad to help you out.
You may not like it, but if you really want to get some, stalk the FFF website/phone and take a drive down to Munster there to pick up a case. They should release a new batch before Christmas. Sixers that get distributed fly off the shelves so fast, I've only seen it once when it came into WLVL and that was only because it had just come off the truck.
Yeah, I know, this isn't my first rodeo. Never really have too hard of a time getting it, but this time is diff. I actually did go down to Munster last Saturday and they sold the last of it the night before.

I don't understand the mark-ups? Shops that get 6-packs of ZD in Milwaukee usually charge $9-10 for the 6-pack. Seems like it would be even more available in Chicago, and at the right price?
You'd think that, but you'd be wrong. It has gotten to the point that shops that get it don't even put it out anymore. You absolutely have to ask for it. Your guess is as good as mine as to how many of those places save it for "preferred customers." I've paid $11.99-$13.99 for it in the past 3 months.
The only places I've ever seen it on tap besides FFF, obviously, is White Rhino in Dyer, IN and CharleyHorse, in Munster, IN. A lot of the liquor stores in the Munster area will have six packs. Even my local Jewel (Merrilville) had some. It usually runs for between $9-$10 a six pack.
This might be a dumb question but how are liquor stores selling these for anything less that $10 a six pack. That is what cost is at the brewery.
This question has been answered a few times recently... Simply put, it occurs because the breweries do not want to compete with the stores that sell their beer. "Here Binny's buy thousands of dollars of our beer at a price that allows you to sell it at $10 a sixer, we'll be right over here selling it for $9 a sixer and making just as much profit, but don't worry, it's all good."
It's now 12.99 to 13.99 for a 6er at the stores.. You have to go to FFF your self if you want to get the deal Plus now $10 for 6er and $40 per case

there was a huge wave of shipments last week, some places might still have it. i picked up a couple of sixers for 12.99. this included alpha king and gumball head. as some folks have mentioned, you may have to ask for it as they might keep it in back. the bottles i bought were dated 11/20/13 so those were more than likely being held at the distributor.
