In town for the weekend and was hoping to find some zombie dust up in the Andersonville area. Went to Capones and despite their beer menus saying they had it they were out. From what I hear that is not a unique experience. Any help via a private message would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers!

Depending on time of day, Andersonville to Muenster is a 1-2 hour trek each way, what with LSD and 94 being parking lots more than they're highways. It's also pretty much impossible via public transit.

So, $35 out the door is awesome and all, but my time is often worth more than the $10 or whatever I'd save. Plus, gas money and all that.

Hopleaf had it on draft last night, but I assume that you're looking for six-packs.

I live in the neighborhood, so I'll shoot you a PM if I see any.

Very well said. Maybe the OP flew in -- no rental car and no real way to transport a case of beer back. Maybe the OP doesn't even have 90 minutes to drive there and back. Maybe 'drive to the brewpub' isn't the only answer.

On a side note, why haven't FFF updated their tap/to-go list since Oct 30th?

the list has been pretty much the same the last few weeks. they took ZD off the to-go list for a couple days then put it back on. but besides that, there hasn't been much new since Stack n Stabb was released.

Binnys south Loop had quite a few cases yesterday, might be gone by tomorrow but it's worth a chance

Andersonville Wine and Spirits (Clark and Foster) usually has FFF's stuff on the shelf, ZD included -- prices are a bit inflated though

It's worth checking out there before making the trek down to SL Binny's if you're only looking for a six pack or two.

If you're leaving in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday maybe? Otherwise I'd set aside a few hours for this round trip.

For all you outta towners in the city for FOBAB: Binny's South Loop has a VERY healthy amount of this sitting on their floor.
FFF's beer can't sit on shelves, it's against the law.

Binnys Grand had some earlier today as well. If its not on the shelf, ask. They may have more in back.
