Has anyone else noticed this trend?

I was at Farmhouse Tavern earlier this week and noticed they were selling bottles of Zombie Dust for $10, while Gumballhead was only $6. Given that they retail for the exact same cost, that is absolutely absurd, in my opinion. Add that to the fact that Zombie Dust has not been difficult to come by in recent months (come to think of it, I've probably seen it on the shelf more frequently than Gumballhead). Additionally, the ZD probably sits around longer due to patrons balking at the price, and falls off considerably over time.

I could be way off base--maybe distributers are charging more for Zombie Dust than the other standard FFF releases, but I doubt that is true.

My impression is that more ZD has hit distribution in the past few weeks, but as late as February it was still hard to find in liquor stores.

I couldn't in principle pay $10 for a bottle of ZD when I have a bunch in my fridge for $1.50. It isn't a necessity like water, plus there are plenty of other brews to try cheaper. There must be enough folks out there who have heard the hype, but don't know just how cheap it is at the brewery.

No distributors are charging more for ZD than Gumballhead. The easiest solution is to take the money you'd spend on that bottle and dedicate it toward the cost of a short drive to the FFF brewpub from Chicago and pick it up there. It's not available at the moment, but my guess it will be again within a couple of days . That's been the pattern over the last couple of months.

Bottle shops by me had them on the shelf for $3.50/btl....so $21/6pk

Ridiciulous, and that shop is maybe 35-40 minutes from Floyd's...why not just make the drive and pick up a case? or 6.

That's crazy. All the Three Floyd's 6 packs I've gotten have been equally priced around $10 at the place I go to.

That sucks. But then, it's easy to find in Chicago, so I'd just order something else... Heard good things about the food there... I may try to go next weekend.

local liquor store recently boosted the price of a 6 pack from 12.99+ tax to 15.99+ tax... however they also just took down the one 6pack limit...

The Whole Foods on Huron had 6packs as of Saturday. $12.99 per 6 if memory serves.

It’s funny you mention the Farm House. I was there last weekend and thought the prices were very good. The only exception was the $10 ZD. It really stuck out and I thought maybe they were trying to make a point or something (if they were it was lost on me…).
