Searching the forum seems to indicate that Zombie Dust can be landed with solid locals, but I haven't gotten any bites on a few ISO's I've floated. Is it a seasonal beer? In the short time that I've been trading here, it seems like small fry trades like this seem to have gone out of style. Is it just the time of year, or is my little dinghy getting muscled out by the whale hunters?
No zombie dust isnt a seasonal beer, right now the trade forums are flooded with Bourbon County posts, just keep trying. What is it that you are offering up for Zombie Dust?
I saw a bunch of Zombie Dust in September and October --- I could buy at will in the Chicago area However, as of recent my luck hasn't been the same...Been seeing a lot of Yum Yum, Jinx Proof, Robert the Bruce and Alpha King...along w/ the usual bombers.
Zombie Dust is actually trickier to get than I think most people assume. If you're close to the brewery and can run over within a 1/2 a day or so from when they post it on their website (which is generally once a week or so) then you can grab 2 cases very reasonably ($40 per case) but if you are trying to get it from your local shop it's VERY tough to time out right and a lot of times they break up 6pks into singles. People also feel like it needs to be FRESH to an extreme (I tend to disagree and think a month old is still an amazing beer) so unless you've already got a trade set up or you're cool drinking cases of it pretty quickly it's hard to justify simply buying it and then posting a For Trade in the forum and hoping someone wants it.
Thanks for the feedback, guys. I'll give it a try again once the Black Friday ish simmers down a bit. @Iamjeff6 I have left my FT's fairly open ended, but have offered AleSmith, Modern Times, and more central-coast specific locals. Nothing crazy, but my understanding was that I didn't need to go overboard.
There was zombie dust released on this past Monday. It gets bottled nearly weekley, if not bi-weekly for sure. Only problem is, it typically only last a few hours.
