Zwanze Day - Orlando Edition

    Many people coming to Redlight for this year's Zwanze Day? There was a good showing last year and we had a blast with quite a bit of bottle sharing and Sushi Lola's next door. Redlight posted the following on their FB about the event:

    We are honored to host Zwanze Day once again! Once a year, Belgium’s Cantillon brewery releases a limited number of kegs of a one-time-only beer called Zwanze. Redlight Redlight was chosen along with 45 other beer bars & breweries across the globe! We are excited to share this special keg of beer with our fine patrons!

    Each bar receives only 1 of these coveted Zwanze Day
    kegs. We will be pre-selling these pours which will allow 1 pour per person.

    $6 for a 4 ounce pour of
    Cantillon Zwanze (Abbaye de Cureghem)
    Cantillon Iris

    *You must purchase your ticket to reserve your pour in advance. Only 1 ticket per person can be purchased. You can come in during operating hours or call from 3pm-5pm Monday thru Friday to purchase tickets over the phone.

    -$8 for a 6 ounce pour of Cantillon Classic Gueuze will be available on a first come first serve basis.

    -Bottles by the glass from Cantillon and Drie Fonteinen will be available.

    -Commemorative glasses and t-shirts for sale

    -Special beers available on tap from Cigar City, Cask & Larder, Funky Buddha, and 7venth Sun!

    Last year there were several bottle shares taking place at the event. I don't imagine Redlight's policy on bringing beers to the event has changed but you might want to give them a call. I'm definitely bringing some bottles to share.

    Kevin, wanna meet up before Mumford with bottles of something WAY BETTER than what everyone will be drinking at Zwanze?? I'm not jealous at ALL! NOPE! I don't even MIND missing this FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW. HAHAHA!!!!

    I wish I had something better! My cellar does not run deep lol. Anyway, will probably be drinking something sessionable since it's an outdoor fest. I need to figure out a way to smuggle some beers in the gate. Any ideas?
