I am planning a Richmond beer trip for next Sunday, November 7, and I would like to hit ZZQ for lunch. Their website states that they are open from 11 AM to 6 PM, or until they sell out. Is there any time which I should arrive by to guarantee some brisket?

Still on my places of want to check out but have not made it yet so can't help answer your question but did you happen to email or DM on social media? They may give you the standard, "we can never tell and sooner is better than later" response but worth a shot if they can give an idea of when the typically sell out.

I see in your other thread you'll be at Hardywood Sunday too so maybe get to ZZQ around 10:15/10:30 to wait in line and then head to HW afterwards? With ZZQ there will be a line regardless so may be safe to show up before opening. I believe GBS will be at both locations but if you don't mind a little extra drive definitely West Creek if you've not been there yet. The OG spot is only about 5 mins from ZZQ while West Creek about 25 mins. Highly unlikely this weekend's release sells out and regular GBS and BGBS from this past weekend should be good and plenty remaining too.

I've walked right into ZZQ several times with no problems, and I've seen wrap around lines there too, so hard to say. But I would agree with the above advice, go sooner rather than later and they won't sell out.

I make the drive from NC which is about 3-31/2 hours. I plan on leaving right at 8:00 to be at ZZQ by 11:30 at the latest. I assume that should be a good timeline for eating there before hitting the breweries. Don’t wanna sample beers on an empty stomach.
