Hello all.
Daniels resort in Canadensis,PA is having their 1st ever Craft beer fest & homebrew competition on Saturday May31st at 7 PM. Breweries that are lined up so far are Allentown Brew Works, Climax and the very new Funk brewery out in Emmaus & Brooklyn Brewery. . Brewers from 3 of these breweries will be present to judge for the homebrew competition as well as bringing along some of their own tasty brews. In addition to the Brewers choice award there will be a peoples choice award so brewers are expected to bring at least a sixtel or 2 cases of their brew/s. Prizes include a free stay at the resort or a free stay at the "Bed & Brew" Inn in East Stroudsburg. Also as part of the People's choice award you can get the chance to be guest brewer for a day at Funk Brewing Co
Look for a special one off beer from Funk made just for the event called "Sticky Fingers" & Founders KBS to be on hand for the late night sampling.. It will be combined with the 11th annual It's Only Rock & Roll weekend. The classic rock cover band ,Luv Krazy will
be playing 3 sets of live music during the beer fest on Saturday night , May 31st. The band will also be playing on Friday night at the resort as well. ( Both nights will have a Rolling Stones tribute set for the 2nd set )
Daniels Resort Beer Fest Package for 1 night is 85.00 per person which includes Saturday dinner,Lodging,Admission to the beer fest & band,,a full breakfast on Sunday, planned activities & of course the sampling glass. You may check in as early as 11:00 am on Saturday. Reservations are also being accepted for Friday thru Sunday if you want to make a weekend of it. The weekend price is 145.00 per person.
