It’s time for the 9th Annual German Pub Crawl on Chicago's north side. You know it, you love it, you could do it in your sleep, now add it your calendar. It’s truly Lager land!

Let’s drink our way through some of the best of Chicago's German taverns and restaurants and take advantage of the wonderful Gemutlichkeit that these fine establishments offer.

The date is May 31st.

We will kick off the festivities at Noon at the Radler which is a new addition to this year's crawl. The Radler is located at 2375 N. Milwaukee Avenue. We can then hop the Blue Line and the Irving Park Bus, or the Western Avenue Bus (or a cab) to arrive at:

2 p.m. at Laschet's Inn located (2119 W. Irving Park Road).

At 3:15 or so, we will dodge traffic as we venture to the north side of the Irving Park and head to Resi's Bierstube (2034 W. Irving Park). Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can spend some time in the Beer Garten.

After that there are several options on Lincoln: The Bad Apple, Hal Acre Tap room, The Fork, Graftons, Tiny Lounge, Wild Goose, Fountainhead... or do we just jump in a taxi (and head directly to Lincoln Square?

At Lincoln Square we will have a host of choices. There is the Chicago Brauhaus (4732 N. Lincoln) the Huettenbar & the Chicago Ale House.

Last and certainly not least, the various German Clubs are sponsoring a large May Fest right in Lincoln Square. They will have free live entertainment, good food, etc.

So what do you say? Break out the Lederhosen and let's go!!
