Winter Release Party

What: Beer Release / Tasting

When: Saturday - November 22, 2014 @ 02:00PM to Saturday - November 22, 2014 @ 06:00PM

Where: De Garde Brewing, Tillamook, Oregon
As posted by De Garde in the NW Forum:

When & Where:
Saturday, November 22nd, from 2-6pm at our brewery in Tillamook (6000 Blimp Blvd)

What:
We will be releasing six new bottles (Others TBD) which are listed below. In addition, we will have a large number of taps and bottles pouring for the event and rotating throughout the afternoon. We will be featuring some of our new releases and favorites, as well as some excellent surprise guest beers and archive selections.

Cost:
It will be $5 for entry (only if you plan on consuming alcohol), which includes a very cool NEW glass that is yours to keep.
Most glass pours will be $3/8oz (some guest and/or vintage pours may be more).
As always for our events, bottles, draft, and entry will be CASH ONLY to help keep any lines to a minimum. Our apologies for any inconvenience.

The Bottles:
Café Samson ($14/btl)
A strong dark beer, with nods towards the imperial stout style, but run through our coolship. Aged in American oak barrels, then infused with Bali Blue Moon coffee beans from Sleepy Monk Coffee Roasters. 11.5%abv,

Maple Samson ($18/btl)
The same base as Café Samson (minus the coffee). Aged for an extended period in Rye Bourbon barrels, then transferred for secondary aging in Bourbon barrels that previously aged Maple Syrup. 12%abv

Bu Stone ($9/btl)
Our Berliner Weisse inspired beer aged in oak barrels with prodigious amounts of Oregon grown Peaches and Apricots. 4.4%abv,

Bu Berry ($9/btl)
Our Berliner Weisse inspired beer aged in oak barrels with huge quantities of Oregon grown blueberries, blackberries, and boysenberries. 4.4%abv

Dark Harvest ($12/btl)
An old favorite back again. A blend of Bourbon barrel aged strong dark sour ale blended with barrel aged fruity and funky wild Saison. The end result is a dark farmhouse ale with a moderate acidity, nuanced yeast expression, and soft barrel notes. 7.4%abv

Earl Desay ($12/btl)
A blended wild farmhouse ale aged in barrel for over a year. We added a large amount of characterful Oregon buckwheat honey to the barrels to induce a secondary fermentation, then conditioned it with Earl Grey tea after blending. 6.2%abv

Initially, limits will be set at three bottles each of the Berliners and Dark Harvest, and one bottle each of the Samsons and Earl Desay. If there are any bottles remaining at 4pm, we will remove purchase limits.

More Details:
As always, we cannot accommodate minors or pets due to our licensing.

We encourage you to imbibe responsibly, and there are numerous affordable local lodging options, as well as taxi service available. Please ask if you need assistance.

We do not have food service available on premise, but you are invited to bring food if desired, or enjoy a meal post event in Tillamook.

If you desire, you are welcome to bring a bottle to share for the release event. Please remember, bottles MUST BE OPENED BY STAFF per Oregon law. We will unfortunately have to ask you to leave if this regulation is not followed. In addition, we will have a large table area set up as the ONLY bottle sharing location. Thank you for your understanding.

Lastly, please rsvp on this event page (Facebook) if you are coming so that we can prepare to the best of our ability. We look forward to celebrating with what we hope to be our best event yet in our newly expanded space. Thanks to everyone for another great year!
