What happened to RateBeer?
RateBeer, founded in 2000 as a global, user‑driven beer rating and review site, announced in June 2017 that ZX Ventures (Anheuser‑Busch InBev) had secretly acquired a minority stake in October 2016, a disclosure that angered many users and industry professionals. RateBeer was then fully acquired by AB InBev in February 2019. On December 18, 2024, RateBeer announced it would cease operations on February 1, 2025 and set a ratings export deadline of January 18, 2025; the site went completely offline on February 3, 2025 and has been closed down since.

Automated importing isn't currently available due to the complexity of matching breweries and beer variants, however, I remain open to evaluating options.
