I usually find Czech beers overrated, but this was pretty good. Same brewery as Pilsner Urquell. Well balanced, full-bodied maltiness with a good bitterness. Reminiscent of Breznak. A little too sweet for my taste but still good. Would buy again.

Bought at the Supermarket Globus at Olomouc. 0,5 l can poured into a Pilsener Glass.
-Looks fabolous. 1 cm foam head but fades away quickly. Transparent gold-amber color.
-Cereal and spicy smell.
-It is mildly bitter. I can't identificate a clear taste, apart from the obvious traditional Pilsen like. Nevertheless, I like.
-Medium body and almost no cabonation.
Overall, I would describe it as an above the average Czech Pilsener. I recommend it.

A better lager than its average BA rating.
Looks have a nice gold-ish amber clarity and inviting foam. Smells are mostly malt. Tastes are balanced by modest hops, unusually in the Czech pils. Dry finish helped also by the bubbles.
My first Plzensky Prazdroj, so I did some research. Their Gambrinus lineup has a plurality of the Czech market. The brewer is owned by Urquell (which in turn is owned by SABMiller.) But the two Czech brewers get mostly of their malts from nearby Monrovia and helps give the beers their full sweetness.

Pours strange light copper color. Nice head, good retention. Smells bread, caramel. The taste is nice, bready, a bit like Maerzen. Bitterness is very low. Rich but soft carbonation. It's actually not Pilsener.
