I have tried every offering available from the Firehouse Brewing Co.: it's so easy to do. For $4.00 (that's about $.60 each for 6 6 oz. samples!!!) they will serve you a variety of their beers: from Porter to Honey Pale, from Stout to IPA. Last week I tasted what they call "Angst Alt." I tried to get a straight answer about the name: the best I can understand, angst has to do with anxiety, alt means old. Okay... I guess they anxiously age it? It was an amber color, with a mild aroma of hops and malt, followed by a thin middle, and a slightly bitter finish. Not too bad, but no competition for their other choices.
