Remember this brewery and I liked their beers but don't remember any specifics about the beer.

on-tap at the brewpub
appearance: served in a standard pint - dark amber-mahogany body that deviates significantly from the standard of the style.
smell: brown sugar, caramel malt, light hops
taste: probably more of an english IPA but really not a strong example of either varietal - the hops (east kent i believe) are muted and bland - brown sugar, caramel, and grainy malts are overplayed.
mouthfeel: medium
drinkability: ok

Written From Notes Compiled 6/04-8/04:
Deep Rust body with moderate head. Strong hops and alcohol present in the smell. Taste is hops yeavy, with raisin and alcohol flavors. A little malt backing. Not very balanced, but I don't think that is that big of a deal, when you order an IPA, you are expecting some good hops action, and this delivers. A very, very good IPA.
