From the hefty crowler in a pint glass thanks to Jeanette and Jamie----CHEERS!
This SOLID brown pours a rugged deep and very dark brown with a nice head
of khaki foam that subsides to a thick ring and layer with light lacing. Nose of
dark roasted malts, hint of coffee, hint of cocoa, touches of toffee and nutty
malts. Flavors give one reason to cheer, a very nice and balanced flavor of
light toffee, nutty malts, faint coffee, and light cocoa intermingling with light
and well balanced herbal hops. Nice mouth feel; medium body, medium
light carbonation, smooth, lightly creamy, and finishing with a nice roasted
note.
Overall, a VERY nice brown ale that would be perfect with most any food
or sitting by the camp fire.
Excellent!
Cheers
