There’s no earthly way of knowing precisely what a SaazBerry tastes like until you’ve experienced it for yourself. It’s fruity without being sweet. It’s tart without being sour. SaazBerry is a perfectly balanced American ale with a magical blend of Saaz hops, raspberry, blueberry and elderberry. The hops provide an earthy spiciness, while the fruit mixture gives a tangy flavor and an aroma of freshly picked berries for a world of pure imagination.

Look - Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Blood orange in color, with a beautiful three-finger head with plenty of lacing. Nearly as good as it gets in terms of looks.
Smell - light scent of fruits and a trace of malts, and some sweetness, but seems diluted. Almost like an adjunct in some ways.
Taste - tart, with detectable presence of hops that I didn't pick up in the smell. The finish is a bit thin - sort of just disappears...but clean, at least.
Feel - light bodied, moderate low carbonation, and light on the alcohol at 4.8% ABV.
Overall - I was expecting something special from the look, but ultimately it meet that standard. It's not an exceptional beer. However, it IS a nice refreshing summer brew that isn't ridiculously sweet. I'm not a huge fan, but it is drinkable.

Picked this up when I was in Los Angeles last month - had a few on the road and finally got some free time alone to enjoy this at the house. Like most things from Southern California, this was easygoing and didn't really care what you thought of it. It wasn't a winner but it grew on me a bit as it warmed up and even though the taste was a bit different, it wasn't as bad as it's rating on here led me to believe.
Not a bad pour to this as the beer was plum, bordering on brown, with plenty of light salmon head to top it off. Bubbly and tall, it lasted for a while before remaining on the side of my pint glass in the form of a thick ring just below the middle of it. Blueberry, elderberry, and light apple were on the nose but the juice and Pilsener malt dominated once I took a sip of this. Tart, heavily carbonated, and light on the tongue, the description of this beer was apt as tangy and tart without any puckering feeling to it.
Notched with July on the side of the bottle, this tasted fresh and went down mindlessly, with just a bit of sediment at the bottom of the liquid. This was a big change from what I'm used to drinking and the hints of vinegar, acetate, and mineral water were just enough to throw me off a bit. Something fun and different to try once, though I swear it tasted better when I was out west late at night!

Saazberry by Angel City Brewery is an American Ale made with Saaz hops that are usually used for Pilsners. It pours a slightly carbonated redish purple color with a small head. The aroma is fruity and the taste is crisp with the berries coming threw at the finish. The low abv makes it perfect for social drinking.

It claims to be flavored with blueberry, raspberry and elderberry, but there is very little of these flavors in the beer. The aftertaste is bitter.
