A special lager with the season in mind - flavored with raspberries and a hint of toasted oak.

Growler pour courtesy of dkachur - thanks! Poured into a traditional American pint glass.
Appearance: Pours a clear, orange amber body with a foamy, one-finger head of average retention that fades to a slightly sticky, nice snowy sheen of lace. Carbonation is fine bubbled, quick, and clumps in little pockets, seeming to emerge from a very small nmber of nucleation sites.
Aroma: Smells overwhelmingly of cherry popsicles, sweet and medicinal, a little fake perhaps. Perhaps a slight roast in the background.
Taste: More subtle than the nose, though cherry overtones and raspberry undertones still dominate. Subtle, slightly biscuity graham cracker malts and a definitely grassy, slightly bitter hop note constitute most of the remainder. A little tartness in the cherry department comes through, particularly given the general dryness of the malts.
Mouthfeel: Soft, subtle carbonation in a body of medium thickness, accompanied by a slight hop prickle. Nice.
Drinkability: A slightly pedestrian fruit beer in my opinion. Though the form (appearance, mouthfeel) is nice, the substance (taste, aroma) fall a little short, too fake in some places, too one-dimensional in others. Maybe worth a shot, but a taste is enough for me.
