12-ounce can picked up at Legends, the clubhouse in Portland, OR for Timbers and Thorns supporters. Drank in a Legends-branded plastic cup. The can bears an unreadable date stamp on the bottom edge.
This beer is gold-amber and a little fuzzy. The loose head of white foam up top doesn't last long and leaves spotty lacing. The nose is sweet and malty at first, then shows an unexpected wintergreen character. Underneath that is a muddled, fruity aroma that starts out sweet and then reveals a mango character which teeters precariously between overripe and rotten. There's also an odd vegetable funk that reminds me of cooked pumpkin. The flavor is largely the same: malt and caramel up front, followed by notes of wintergreen, warm mango nectar, the cooked pumpkin/squash character, and Lipton tea. The body feels heavier than it needs to be for its 6% strength, with an unexpected alcohol warmth. Overall, I didn't enjoy it much, and probably wouldn't try it again.

Haven't reviewed any beer on this site since 2021 but was prompted to leave one for this pale ale from Oregon. It's been like 100° here so I was looking for a tropical-leaning IPA - preferably a mango-version - and found this unassuming sixer of cans. Label says it's brewed with mango and natural mango flavors.
First impression was it seems almost like a pumpkin ale, which I am a fan of, but wasn't expecting any similarity with this. Fairly unreactive pour, slight, off-white head, and amber body. The first one I had took me back at first with sweetness, but with the second one I got more vegetal and fruit flavors, pretty true to mango. The mouthfeel is also thick, which also seems mango-ish to me, and like pumpkin ale, just without any spices.
I am not usually a pale ale fan, but can make room for this one. It drinks like a big beer, but at 6% you could definitely have a few of these. With the thick mouthfeel and sweeter profile I cannot say this is the quencher for hot weather, but come fall, I can see this one working its way into the rotation.
Overall I think they did a good job with this, and recommended especially if you like the mango flavors.

Can from Boise Co-op. Orange golden body, frothy head. Barely there tropical aroma. Taste too is way too soft, hardly noticable. Soft tropical flavor , leaves nothing behind. Would be a great hot day beer, but little substance.

LOOK - - - crystal clear light gold in color - very low on carbonation - no head but just a foam ring - looks like a sour - goes flat instantly (from a 12 oz. can)
SMELL - - - some mango and malt / some biscuit and cracker
TASTE - - - not much for bitterness - slightly sweet - nice biscuity flavor - a decent amount of mango but not ample amounts - pretty laid back and not super flavorful
FEEL - - - medium bodied - very flat with no bubbles at all after a minute or two
OVERALL - - - I had high hopes for this one - needs more carbonation - has potential - could use more of a rich malty/caramelly base beer flavor and some more hops - drinkable but not impressed
