12oz single picked up at Malt & Vine in Redmond, Washington.
L- Fairly standard NW IPA.
S- Fruit bomb, minimal pine and some sweet malt evident.
T- Same as smell with the malt and pine being a bit more prevailent.
F- Another Oregon DIPA that is smooth as silk.

Thought this had already been added to the data base as the "uncle jim's" version of this beer. The current version has someone what higher abv. (8.8%), and it's not quite so aggressively hopped, but even so. As with the original, this is an absolute stunner of a DIPA from the folks at Silver Moon.
The beer pours a golden amber color with very good head retention and lots of sticky lacing all around. The nose on the current version isn't quite as outrageous as the original "uncle jim" version, but even so, there's plenty of dank weed, a hint of green tobacco, tropical fruit and pine in this excellent DIPA. As good as this smells, it's every bit as yummy on the palate, with the tropical fruit balanced and countered very nicely by lots of hoppy goodness on the finish. The finish is dry and bitter, leading to a surprisingly light mouthfeel. Alcohol is extremely well integrated into the flavor profile, which given the abv,, is a bit dangerous. This is entirely too easy to drink, which is a problem, given the nearly 9% abv. in this well crafted beer.
There seems to be some batch variation in this beer, but when it's good (as the current batch is), it's really, really good. Have been a fan of this beer since the first time I tried it back in 2013, and in that regard, nothing has changed. This is an altogether excellent DIPA from the folks at Silver Moon.

Growler from The Growler Guys. This is a two-fer - a brewery that's new to me AND a beer that John has very highly rated that I haven't tried.
A mildly hazy light orange with a dense, off-white head with excellent retention and lacing, this looks great! The nose is big and pungent with pineapple juice, orange juice, honey, tropical fruit and pine. Incredibly juicy with some bitterness to back it up, this smells solid. Malt character is minimal here. Really, though, fewer beers have smelled as much like pineapple juice than this. The palate opens big, fruity and juicy, with orange, mandarin and pineapple juice, along with some peach and mango as well. Incredibly fruity though surprisingly dull, there's some English malt character present here. Mildly sweet on the finish, this beer has a blend of bitter pine and tropical fruit present. Solid stuff.

Very, very good IPA. Not enough credit given to Silver Moon beers in a town full of great beers.
