Canned 5/21/24
I got a 6 pack of this from Tavour early in the summer and crushed most of them on the beach one day, but I just found this last (?) can of it in the cellar yesterday and figured I'd give it a review. I already know that it's not anything amazing, but it's still a solid IPA for a good cause. Let's get into it
Pours a cloudy deep gold with 2 fingers of soapy off white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves nice lacing
The nose is very resinous but with a malty sweetness to back it up. I'm picking up on aromas of resinous hops, pithy grapefruit, orange marmalade, caramel malt, weed, overripe cantaloupe, black tea, and light lemon zest
Things are a bit flatter and less defined in taste but it's not that bad. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting lemon zest, black tea, bready malt, grassy hops, orange marmalade, light toffee, and pineapple. The swallow brings notes of orange marmalade, caramel malt, black tea, grassy hops, pithy grapefruit, light apricot, and pineapple
A medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a crisp beer. Finishes mostly dry and refreshing
Like I said, it's nothing amazing, but it's definitely better than the average would lead you to believe

Grunt fill at Albertsons. Medium golden, clear, huge fluffy head. Light aroma, hops and malt detectable. Taste is a bit fuller, but still light, accessible. Noticable hops bite. Dry finish.

A: The beer is slightly hazy amber yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a narrow collar around the edge and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of caramel malts are present in the nose along with hints of citrusy hops.
T: The taste has flavors of caramel malts along with strong notes of citrusy hops, the latter of which contribute a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: In the current days of hop-forward hazy IPAs, this beer is a refreshing change of pace that really exhibits its malty qualities.

Somewhat clear dark amber pour complete with a cream head and light lacing. Classical ipa here with piney, leafy, and bitter hops cascading down on pineapple and general citrus with a caramel malt backbone in both smell and taste. Feel is well balanced, has good hops textures and doesn't break down as it warms. Nothing crazy but all around good ipa. Most importantly it is a great cause, because f* cancer!
