Picked this up recently at Gary's in Madison, as I never had anything from Silver Moon before nor had I even heard of them. Love the idea behind this beer with this brewery being Veteran owned and thankfully, the liquid on the inside was worthy of the outside as this was a solid example of a Pilsner that was easy to enjoy without being too watery or untrue to it's style...
Not surprisingly, this had a golden hue to it that was plenty bright, with fine bubbles coming up throughout my session. Enough head topped this off but that quickly settled as there wasn't any lacing to be seen on the side of my pint glass. Some light grass, Noble Hops, and Pilsner Malt was in the taste as a bit of cracker and potato chip came through in the tasted once this fully warmed up. Nicely slick, effortlessly balanced, and a true session beer, there wasn't much in the aftertaste except for hints of a German-style beer that softly faded away.
Hardly any alcohol was in this as it would have been easy to crack another open after this was finished off. I don't have this style much but if someone around me was new to it, I'd start them off with this enjoyable offering from Silver Moon. Canned on 7/10, it was hard to find anything to dislike about this as I was glad to give it a go on this mellow night!
