This is a one off imperial pils poured on tap at Belmont Station in Portland. Being a pils guy I love to try a new one and am rarely impressed. I've had 5 imperial pils beers and this is up there with the Boulevard/Orval collab as the best. Nose has some moderate hops for a pils, not the floral boquet of Prima, but enough there to let you know it is serious. Some sweetness and hay as well. Taste starts with some grassy hops, followed by a mild bitterness, lemon zest, barley. Pours a light orange/gold, slightly hazy. Good head retention with lacing. Finishes pretty dry with some biscuity malts lingering with a touch of bitterness on the sides of the tongue. Minimal alcohol detect as it warms. Scary drinkability.
