On draught at Bailey's, Winter Moon is dark auburn with a sand colored, big-bubbled collar leaving heavy, pleasant lace.
Smell is sweet, a little spicy, like a cream soda - which is appealing, but rather unusual for a beer. Soft though, not sticky sweet or anything...almost along the coconut lines you get from oak.
Taste is pretty mild, it's a bit phenolic, some spiciness to it for sure, some sweetness to the malt. Interesting, fairly unique, but balanced, with softened edges. Is this barrel aged? I wouldn't doubt a hint of bourbon.
Mouthfeel is off-dry, a bit oily, medium bodied, and rather creamy.
Drinkability is pretty good, it's an easy quaffing winter warmer for sure, with just enough depth to keep it interesting. Not a wow beer, but I dig it.

A very murky red brown, a pretty thick white head. Doesn't look clear but doesn't look dark...
Smell of oak, roasted cereal, a bit of strong bitterness.
Taste is oak, woody earthy, bit of cherry some strong citrus hops
Thick mouthfeel really good carb
A pretty good beer described as a northwest strong ale. Really nice inturperatation of it blends a few styles together
