The Super Stash lives once more. Hops be praised.
pours a slightly hazy deep amber body with an off-white froth head that has low retention and leaves very little lacing behind as it settles to a thin halo
aroma is a deep, lush, dank and robust bouquet of pine, grapefruit, and orange hops with caramel malt and a slight, low grade booze heat at the end
taste follows that pretty straight up. it's deep and dank and resinous and very OG West coast, but in the double/imperial style, which here comes across with more sweet caramel than earthy bitterness. it's a very balanced affair, however.
mouthfeel is midlevel carbonation and body that runs relatively smooth and creamy with steady, low grade carbo and booze heat prickles throughout, before finishing dry with a resinous, earthy and slightly boozy aftertaste.
overall:
if you like the stash and would like to know if it doubled up and narrowed it's focus on the malt and pine, look no further. where the reggie stash simply flirted with dank, this one goes all in. given everything pushed around the room here, it's kind of amazing the amount of balance and focus this thing has. superbly made dank double.
