deep brown body pours with a tanned fluff head that has low retention and leaves only occasional lacing as it settles to a defined halo
aroma is sweet and cake/bready malt with a coconut creaminess
taste follows the nose, but adds a nutty layer to the malt profile. it's fairly subdued, but there nonetheless. coconut is reduced to coming across as a "funky creaminess" and chocolate bready malt is still in full force.
feel is moderate carbonation and heavy body. carbo and booze prickles occasional. finishes dry.
overall:
4 on the Floor brew. average but not phenomenal, and certainly not terrible. "nailed it" - not so much, I don't think anyway, unless we're talking about a slightly average stout with a thin layer of funk, but not so much as to be immediately ID'd as a coconut stout.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a dark brown color with a one finger head of tan colored foam. The head has a fair level of retention, fading over time to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of a deep roasted malt smell mixed with a little bit of cocoa and a touch of crème. Along with these smells comes a little bit of a toasted cocoanut smell as well as a little bit of caramel.
Taste – The taste begins with a moderately roasty malt flavor that has some cocoa and caramel mixed within. Along with these tastes comes a little bit of a coconut as well as some light cola like flavors. For a chocolate coconut brew, the coconut remains rather light throughout the taste adding just a very subtle flavor to the brew. Toward the end of the taste a tiny bit of nuttiness come to the tongue and with a bit of an increase in the caramel, one is left with a semi sweet, moderately roasty stout taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average. A little thicker of a body may have been better for the flavors of the brew, but overall it was OK.
Overall – An OK stout, but it lacks a little in the coconut for a coconut brew. OK, but nothing all that special…
