The beer arrived at the table clear golden slight amber with a white lasting head which laced the glass.
The aroma was low earthy hop presence and not much more character.
The flavor was light matiness with earthy hop bittering and just a slight bit of diacetyl. Well done for an ESB, but a bit low for an IPA.
The finish was dry with lasting hop bittering and the body was medium. The best part about this beer was the finish and it was very well done.
Definitely not an American IPA, should be an ESB at best.

They say this is a "blend of IPA and ESB" styles, and it's pretty close. This British style beer is a little weak and understated, somewhere between ESB and a low-key British IPA.
Appearance is unremarkable, medium copper.
Nose is slightly floral, which is nice, but misleading. Was served a little cold, and benefitted from sitting for a bit.
First taste is slightly hoppy, definite malt presence. Finish is boring, a little short, and has a slight tinge of copper/metallic. My tasting notes indicate "decent for Eng. style, decent florality..." and that's a good way of classifying this beer: decent, and nothing more.
Summary: I wouldn't bother. There are far better beers here, more worthy of your attention and cash.

A decent IPA, at best, from the Five Seasons Brewing Company, this bier taps a great golden color. Quite appealing. However, while the head vanished to a fine lace, the aroma and flavor were a bit lacking. Once I was told it was an IPA and not a pale ale, I was a bit disappointed. I expected more in the way of flowery hoppiness, yet received little. Not a bad brew, and still worth the try.

Nice copper body with decent white head. The aroma is heavy with hops on the nose. I'd like a bit more malt to balance out the hops. There are some slight esters in the flavor that I noticed towards the end. Not a bad beer, but it may be a bit timid for an APA.
