Appearance: Served up a reasonably clear, dark amber-hued body with a scant ring from lack of head formation.
Smell: Unremittingly smokey, with a scent smelling less of beer than of a plate of homemade hickory-flavored potato chips housed in a protective, delicious cocoon of bacon.
Taste: Yeah, you've got some round caramel maltiness in the mix, but the flavor is largely just the bacon character. First and foremost, it's that continual smokey bacon that overrides the far lesser touches of hops and fruit esters and sweet malts.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Lightly carbonated.
Overall: It's interesting, for sure, but be ready and know what you're getting into here. To protest "it's too bacon" is not acceptable and shall not be tolerated.
