Collaboration brew by Central City and Four Winds. It is the first BC Craft Brewers Guild branded collaboration beer.
Cedar Aged Extra Pale Ale
Collab MMXIV
This well-hopped brew is aged with the finest Cedar, imparting an intense cedar aroma. Peppercorn spiciness and tannins from the wood enhance the bitter hop flavour with a long, lingering finish. A refined twist on a local BC favourite.

Appearance. Pours a clear copper-brown with three fingers of white head that leaves some sexy lace behind.
Smell. Yellow grapefruit, cedar, and spicy malts ...like rye but I don't think there's rye in here.
Taste. Caramel malts, juicy yellow grapefruit and lingering oily cedar, some herbal bitterness.
Mouthfeel. Medium body, below medium carbonation.
Overall. Good stuff.

Love the concept, but the cedar should be more subtle. Its a bit of a tannin bomb.
