Pale yellow in color with a big foam-up in the Delirium Tremens snifter. Coarse and spritzy in the mouth. A little alarming at first sip, it's so sharp and tasting like club soda with Funky Fizzies. Aroma is leather and something that makes me think of warm dairy cows.
Quite yeasty, and then bitter in the aftertaste. Also rather sweet and yet drying out puckekrishly with every sip. It seems quite rough and yet anemic in flavor. It's all about the yeast. There is a touch of pear fruitiness and a peachy hint, but the bitterness makes it a little strange. Mineral aftertaste and my lips are getting dry.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a tulip glass.
A: The beer is a light yellowish gold color with a large foamy white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick but spotty lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains Belgian yeast, peppery spices, wheat, citrus and a touch of hops.
T: The taste starts out very bready with strong flavors of wheat, Belgian yeast and a hearty malt character. Then some mildly sweet flavors of citrus, caramel, pepper and other spices come in. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings some balance. The after-taste is slightly bready.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style, this is a decent beer to drink for a while.

Awesome summer saison with the right spices for the North American market. Highly recommend. The gourmet pink peppercorns are noticeable and compliment nicely the sweet malty mixed grain backbone of the beer.

Produced 2/13/15.
Pours a murky light yellow with a foamy white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy patches of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, earth, spice, and yeast aromas. Taste is much the same with flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with great aromas and tasty flavors, but they aren't as good as the smell.
Serving type: bottle.

650ml bottle - nice to see that they got that label situation all sorted out. All right Detective, bring 'em in!
This beer pours a clear, pale golden yellow colour, with three fat fingers of puffy, densely foamy, and fairly creamy bone-white head, which leaves some chunky, broadly webbed lace around the glass as it slowly falls away.
It smells of semi-sweet, grainy pale malt, earthy yeast, pleasantly muddled pear and apple mush, tame white pepper, a touch of sour lemon, and a bit of leafy, weedy hop bitterness. The taste is sweet canned pears, applesauce, doughy pale malt, sedate, yet gritty Belgian yeast, rainbow peppercorn spice, lemon pie, and a weak earthy, floral hoppiness.
The carbonation is quite active in its swirling and probing frothiness, with the odd fizzy tic, the body a solid medium weight for the style, and mostly smooth, the yeast kind of listless in its usual attempt at interference here. It finishes sweet and yeasty, in the near very best sense.
Yup, those scallywags from "Central City's" most corrupt purveyor of the demon's drink have pretty much nailed it with this one - an agreeably quaffable saison, the metrics for such apparently available on (let's not kid ourselves here) Surrey's mean streets. The Detective herself has an open invitation to put back a few of these with me should ever our fated paths cross.

Yum. Great version of a style that is rapidly gaining points in my books. The bright, peppery nature of this beer makes it both refreshing and easy to drink. I would happily submit to a full body search by this Detective.
