Golden and hazy with a little carbonation, and 3 fingers of rocky white head.
Smells of apples, honey, Belgian yeasts, phenols, and bubblegum.
The taste follows the nose. Slightly sweet, slightly tart.
Medium body, moderate carbonation with a tannic finish.
Got with the Across the Nation pack from LCBO. Perhaps my first beer from Manitoba, its a decent saison style ale.

Review #11 from the Across the Nation 12 pack mix.
I am not impressed by this one . The honey just turns into alcohol and so does the wild rice. There is some maltness to this ale but it feels extremely dry in the mouth. Pours a pale yellow with a 2 inch white head. Some type of earthy hops. Sorry Manitoba just passing by on this one.

Classified as a strong ale on the bottle. The name ingredients don't play a huge role in altering the taste too much. Didn't get a distinctive taste from rice or honey. Nice head that lasted the short time I drank. Went down easy but wouldn't go out of my way to purchase.

Pours a slightly hazy light golden color, with plenty of soapy white head at the top. The nose is heavily floral, with an evident honeyed sweetness and bready grains. On the palate, it is mildly tart, with orange zest, pepper, bread, and a honeyed after taste. Very nice beer.

Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a medium foamy head with limited retention and no lacing. Aroma of honey and light malt notes is OK. Taste is a bland mix of honey flavours with light cereal notes. Body is full with somewhat of an oily texture with medium carbonation. Middle op the road honey flavour beer.

Golden colour with good head. Grainy nose perhaps from the wild rice, strongly carbonated with considerable tartness and a dry finish.

330 ml bottle served cold into a pint glass. Beer #5 of 6 from the Western Canada, Central City, Across the Nation collab pack. This time we are in Manitoba collaborating with Half Pints Brewing.
Appearance - A moderately hazy and rich golden beer is poured. Capped by a finger of loose white head, retention is fairly modest, but tin curtains of lacing wrap around the glass. Thin wispy layer of froth stays on top for some time.
Smell - Yeast with plenty of coarse grain. Honey sweetness. Some grassy notes in the background. Possibly a hint of pepper. The grain smells different than most saisons so I guess this is the rice.
Taste - Quite sweet, and the yeast shine through here too. Honey makes this almost too sweet, thankfully some earthy bitterness kicks in. Soft grain flavors throughout with some white pepper at the end. A little sharp.
Mouthfeel - Very dry finish, medium body and moderately high carbonation.
Overall - Solid if unspectacular, the rice and honey make this a little different but otherwise a well crafted saison.
