We brewed this French farmhouse style ale with just a kiss of cardamom. The Calais yeast produces fruity peppery esters and the late addition Slovenia Celeia hops provide a nuanced herbal aroma with a hint of ripe pear.

On tap at Barley's, Columbus, Ohio; served in a snifter. Slightly hazy orange-yellow body, with a wisp of white head. Aromas of light citrus and cardamom up front, with a floral overtone and a note of yeast funk. These characteristics obtain on the palate as well. Medium bodied, with a crisp finish. Paired with Barley's famous sauerkraut balls, this made for an excellent table beer.
